Greg Thompson
Greg Thompson has almost two decades of experience serving Hardin County and the surrounding areas. Greg is a 1981 graduate of Meade County High School. He attended McKendree College and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He continued his education and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He is admitted to practice law before all courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and the United States Court of Veteran Appeals. He is a member of the Hardin and Kentucky Bar Associations. He is a graduate of the Radcliff-Vine Grove Community Leadership Program. Greg's background also includes an enlistment with the United States Army where he obtained the rank of SSG. He is a graduate from Officer Candidate School, the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Infantry Mortar Platoon Course, the Armor Officer Advanced Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the Advanced Operations and Warfighting Course. LTC Thompson served in Iraq as a Special Operations Command Civil Affairs Officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Combat Action Badge and the Bronze Star Medal. Greg has five children. His oldest daughter Amber graduated from U of L. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Transylvania. Billy and Nathan both attend UK. Atticus attends St. James. He is also the proud grandfather of Paten. Greg resides in Elizabethtown with his wife Sunea.
